That's me, Marcin

Forty days before my birthday I decided to write 40 lessons from a 40-year-old guy to reflect on what I've learned about life, people, relationships, money and personal growth.

I wrote one lesson a day.

A year later I built this site and published an edited version of my lessons, which you'll find below.

I wrote them in Polish. Where something only makes sense to Poles, look for a dotted underline and hover over or tap it for a short explanation.

Start here, it's the intro

In 40 days I turn 40. I can't say the time flew by, but I can say I've learned a lot.

Sure, I've clocked a ton of butt-hours in front of a computer, but I've also visited interesting places, read good books, bought plenty of cool stuff and figured out how to be a better man. Or at least I like to think so.

Some books tell a story and leave you to draw your own conclusions. Others tell you straight up what to do. This one is a bit of both. Above all, it's a collection of advice I'd give myself, if only I had the chance, mixed with stories from my life.

Anyone could have written advice like this, but I'm the one who did. I won't tell you how to live your life. I can only show you how I live mine.

I don't consider myself an expert on life. I don't know everything, and not everything I know has to be true. I'm a 40-year-old guy who got lucky in life, or drew the right conclusions in time, or maybe both.

You may have different experiences, or even a completely different set of values, so take what works for you and ignore the rest.
