Privacy policy

1. General information

This privacy policy explains how personal data is processed by 40porad.pl, both its Polish original and its English version at 40porad.pl/en, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 (GDPR).

2. Data controller

The controller of your personal data is Marcin, the author of 40 lessons from a 40-year-old guy. For anything related to your data, write to [email protected].

3. Personal data

a) What data is processed

The site has no forms, user accounts or newsletter. The only data processed is:

  • IP addresses and browser information, which reach the hosting provider every time a page is loaded,
  • aggregate visit statistics from Cloudflare Web Analytics (described in section 4),
  • whatever you send me yourself when you write me an email.

b) Why it is processed

Data is processed to:

  • keep the site running properly and securely,
  • see how many people read the site and which lessons,
  • reply to messages.

c) How long it is kept

Personal data is kept only as long as needed for the purposes it was collected for, or as required by law.

4. Cookies

The site uses no cookies. The monster in the video above ate them all.

Visits are counted by Cloudflare Web Analytics. It stores no cookies or anything else in your browser and does not recognize you between visits. All I see are aggregate numbers: how many page views, of which pages, where readers came from, and which countries and devices.

The video itself is the only exception. The YouTube player is embedded in privacy-enhanced mode, but once you play it, Google may set cookies according to its own privacy policy.

5. Sharing data with third parties

The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes IP addresses and technical request data to deliver the site, protect it from attacks and prepare aggregate statistics.

6. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • access your data,
  • have your data corrected,
  • have your data erased (the "right to be forgotten"),
  • restrict processing,
  • data portability,
  • object to processing,
  • lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
